If you ever asked that question because you were concerned about looking like a tourist, not fitting in, then read on. Most of the time you find list and few visuals for not looking like a tourist. Here is my recommendation for looking appropriate: search out the local webcams. Just 'Google' webcams and the location you want to visit. Bookmark and visit them at different days and different times and observe the locals. Worse case scenario you will just find a bunch of tourist on the webcams which means you will fit in just fine.
